Brow Lamination
What is a brow lamination?
A lamination is a straight, flat perm for your brows that redirects the hairs and sets them in place for a fuller look. The effect is similar to micro-blading, so clients often try this before committing to a more permanent brow service.
Will my brows be stick to my face?
Not at all. You can comb them like usual, only after a lamination your brows will stay where you comb them. Laminations are great because it allows your brows to keep their shape without the use of a gel or pomade. Aura Beauty Brow Set pomade is great at extending the lamination until your next appointment!
How long does a lamination take?
The entire process takes appx. 45-60 minutes depending on how thick your brows are, and if your service includes a tint and wax. If you are a new client, please arrive 5-10. mins early to fill out a standard brow/lash service consent form.
Does a lamination hurt?
No! There may be some slight redness visible on the skin surrounding the brow area, or minor tingling from the solutions, but any irritation will subside in a couple of hours. Please avoid using skincare with active ingredients (retinal, AHA, BHA, Vitamin C) 1-2 weeks before your appointment to reduce your risk of sensitivity.
How long does a lamination last?
A lamination lasts 4-8 weeks depending on your lifestyle, and aftercare. If you sweat excessively, swim, hot tub or sauna often, you can expect the lamination and tint to last for a shorter period of time (appx. 4-5 weeks).
I don’t have much brow hair, is that okay?
Well, you do have to have some hair available or else there will be nothing to laminate. If you have lots of light/fine brow hairs, or dark, thick or dense brow hairs, a lamination is perfect for you! If you have very over-tweezed brows with limited hair, then using a serum to grow them out should be considered as a first step.
